Specificity    This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of PCPE1. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between PCPE1 and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between PCPE1 and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.

Preparation and Storage    Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.
Sample Preparation    We suggest pre-experimenting with neat (undiluted) samples, 1:2 or 1:4 dilutions. Please avoid diluting your samples more than 1:10 as it would exceed the dilution limit set for this kit. If the expected concentration of the target is beyond the detection range of the kit, please contact our technical support team
Product Note    Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of PCPE1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for PCPE1 purchase    MBS724700 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Competitive ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Procollagen C Proteinase Enhancer 1 (PCPE1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 1.0-25ng/mL in biological research samples containing PCPE1, with an estimated sensitivity of 0.1ng/mL. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS724700 kit is based on PCPE1 antibody-PCPE1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect PCPE1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, PCPE1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma, Cell Culture Supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for PCPE1 elisa kit

Principle of the assay: PCPE1 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-PCPE1 antibody and an PCPE1-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with PCPE1-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the PCPE1 concentration since PCPE1 from samples and PCPE1-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-PCPE1 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by PCPE1 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind PCPE1-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The PCPE1 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Summary for PCPE1    Fibrillar collagen types I-III are synthesized as precursor molecules known as procollagens. These precursors contain amino- and carboxyl-terminal peptide extensions known as N- and C-propeptides, respectively, which are cleaved, upon secretion of procollagen from the cell, to yield the mature triple helical, highly structured fibrils. This gene encodes a glycoprotein which binds and drives the enzymatic cleavage of type I procollagen and heightens C-proteinase activity. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
