Searchable Terms for ANXA1 purchase    MBS944251 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the annexin A1 (ANXA1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 0.625 ng/ml-40 ng/ml in biological research samples containing ANXA1, with an estimated sensitivity of Typically less than 0.156 ng/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS944251 kit is based on ANXA1 antibody-ANXA1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect ANXA1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, ANXA1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, tissue homogenates. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for ANXA1 elisa kit

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for ANXA1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any ANXA1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for ANXA1 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of ANXA1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

UniProt Comments for ANXA1    ANXA1: a calcium/phospholipid-binding protein with which promotes membrane fusion and is involved in endocytosis. Has anti-inflammatory properties and inhibits phospholipase A2 activity. Accumulates on internalized vesicles after EGF-stimulated endocytosis, suggesting that it may be required for a late stage in inward vesiculation. Phosphorylated by PKC, EGFR and Chak1. Phosphorylation results in loss of the inhibitory activity. Annexins are a family of structurally related proteins whose common property is calcium-dependent binding to phospholipids. There are at least ten different annexins in mammalian species. Annexins do not contain signal peptides, yet some annexins (A1, A2 and A5) appear to be secreted in a physiologically regulated fashion.
