Searchable Terms for CHGB purchase    MBS913309 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the chromogranin B (secretogranin 1) (CHGB) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 9.38 pg/ml -600 pg/ml in biological research samples containing CHGB, with an estimated sensitivity of Typically less than 2.34 pg/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS913309 kit is based on CHGB antibody-CHGB antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect CHGB antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, CHGB. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for CHGB elisa kit

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for CHGB has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any CHGB present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for CHGB is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of CHGB bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

UniProt Comments for CHGB    CHGB: a member of the chromogranin/secretogranin family of neuroendocrine secretory proteins. It is found in secretory vesicles of neurons and endocrine cells. This gene product is a precursor to three biologically active peptides; vasostatin, pancreastatin, and parastatin. These peptides act as autocrine or paracrine negative modulators of the neuroendocrine system. Other peptides, including chromostatin, beta-granin, WE-14 and GE-25, are also derived from the full-length protein. However, biological activities for these molecules have not been shown.

Protein type: Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide

Cellular Component: extracellular region; secretory granule

Molecular Function: protein binding
