Searchable Terms for F7 purchase    MBS944525 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Quantitative Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the coagulation factor VII (serum prothrombin conversion accelerator) (F7) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 0.45 ng/ml-30 ng/ml in biological research samples containing F7, with an estimated sensitivity of 0.11 ng/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS944525 kit is based on F7 antibody-F7 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect F7 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, F7. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for F7 elisa kit

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for FVII has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any FVII present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for FVII is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of FVII bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

NCBI Summary for F7    This gene encodes a vitamin K-dependent serine protease that plays a critical role in the extrinsic pathway of blood coagulation. Upon contact with tissue factor III (TF III), the encoded protein forms an activated complex termed TF-FVIIa that initiates the coagulation cascade involving other coagulation factors, ultimately resulting in a fibrin clot. Complete lack of the encoded protein in mice results in in perinatal lethality due to bleeding from normal blood vessels. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2015]

UniProt Comments for F7    F7: Initiates the extrinsic pathway of blood coagulation. Serine protease that circulates in the blood in a zymogen form. Factor VII is converted to factor VIIa by factor Xa, factor XIIa, factor IXa, or thrombin by minor proteolysis. In the presence of tissue factor and calcium ions, factor VIIa then converts factor X to factor Xa by limited proteolysis. Factor VIIa will also convert factor IX to factor IXa in the presence of tissue factor and calcium. Defects in F7 are the cause of factor VII deficiency (FA7D). A hemorrhagic disease with variable presentation. The clinical picture can be very severe, with the early occurrence of intracerebral hemorrhages or repeated hemarthroses, or, in contrast, moderate with cutaneous-mucosal hemorrhages (epistaxis, menorrhagia) or hemorrhages provoked by a surgical intervention. Finally, numerous subjects are completely asymptomatic despite very low factor VII levels. Belongs to the peptidase S1 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
