Product Note    Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of FES elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for FES purchase    MBS9331800 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the feline sarcoma oncogene (FES) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing FES. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS9331800 kit is based on FES antibody-FES antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect FES antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, FES. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

UniProt Comments for FES    Fes: a non-receptor tyrosine kinase of the Fer family. Appears to be involved in normal hematopoiesis as well as the development of acute promyelocytic leukemia. Contains one SH2 and one FCH domain. Four LOF point mutations seen in colorectal cancer. Orthologous to v-fes from feline leukemia virus and v-fps from avian transforming virus. Mutant forms are angiogenic. Promotes survival during differentiation, and may act both to promote and inhibit tumors. May be disrupted in the t(15q+;17q-) found in acute promyelocytic leukemia, but the breakpoint does not occur within the gene.

Protein type: Protein kinase, tyrosine (non-receptor); Protein kinase, TK; Oncoprotein; Kinase, protein; Tumor suppressor; EC; TK group; Fer family

Cellular Component: microtubule cytoskeleton; Golgi apparatus; extrinsic to internal side of plasma membrane; cytoskeleton; focal adhesion; membrane; cytoplasm; plasma membrane; cytoplasmic vesicle; cell junction

Molecular Function: transferase activity; protein binding; protein-tyrosine kinase activity; microtubule binding; transferase activity, transferring phosphorus-containing groups; nucleotide binding; non-membrane spanning protein tyrosine kinase activity; kinase activity; lipid binding; ATP binding; phosphoinositide binding; protein kinase activity; receptor binding
