Product Note    Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of HS elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for HS purchase    MBS262183 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Quantitative Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the heparan sulfate (HS) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 10 ug/ml-0.156 ug/ml in biological research samples containing HS, with an estimated sensitivity of Up to 0.05 ug/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS262183 kit is based on HS antibody-HS antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect HS antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, HS. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma or cell culture supernatant. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for HS elisa kit

Principle of the Assay: This experiment use double-sandwich elisa technique and the ELISA Kit provided is typical. The pre-coated antibody is Mouse HS monoclonal antibody and the detecting antibody is polyclonal antibody with biotin labeled. Samples and biotin labeling antibody are added into ELISA plate wells and washed out with PBS or TBS. Then Avidin-peroxidase conjugates are added to ELISA wells in order; Use TMB substrate for coloring after reactant thoroughly washed out by PBS or TBS. TMB turns into blue in peroxidase catalytic and finally turns into yellow under the action of acid. The color depth and the testing factors in samples are positively correlated.

NCBI Summary for HS    Heparan sulfate biosynthetic enzymes are key components in generating a myriad of distinct heparan sulfate fine structures that carry out multiple biologic activities. The enzyme encoded by this gene is a member of the heparan sulfate biosynthetic enzyme family. It possesses both heparan sulfate glucosaminyl 3-O-sulfotransferase activity, anticoagulant heparan sulfate conversion activity, and is a rate limiting enzyme for synthesis of anticoagulant heparan. This enzyme is an intraluminal Golgi resident protein. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

UniProt Comments for HS    HS3ST1: Sulfotransferase that utilizes 3'-phospho-5'-adenylyl sulfate (PAPS) to catalyze the transfer of a sulfo group to position 3 of glucosamine residues in heparan. Catalyzes the rate limiting step in the biosynthesis of heparan sulfate (HSact). This modification is a crucial step in the biosynthesis of anticoagulant heparan sulfate as it completes the structure of the antithrombin pentasaccharide binding site. Belongs to the sulfotransferase 1 family.

Protein type: Transferase; EC; Glycan Metabolism - heparan sulfate biosynthesis

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 4p16

Cellular Component: Golgi lumen; integral to membrane

Molecular Function: sulfotransferase activity; heparin-glucosamine 3-O-sulfotransferase activity

Biological Process: glycosaminoglycan biosynthetic process; glycosaminoglycan metabolic process; carbohydrate metabolic process; pathogenesis
