Other Notes    Small volumes of TRH elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for TRH purchase    MBS700675 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 2.5 pg/ml-160 pg/ml in biological research samples containing TRH, with an estimated sensitivity of 0.625 pg/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS700675 kit is based on TRH antibody-TRH antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect TRH antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, TRH. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Product Description specifically for TRH elisa kit

For SampleFor the quantitative determination of mouse thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) concentrations in serum.

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for TRH has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any TRH present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for TRH is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of TRH bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

NCBI Summary for TRH    This gene encodes a member of the thyrotropin-releasing hormone family. Cleavage of the encoded proprotein releases mature thyrotropin-releasing hormone, which is a tripeptide hypothalamic regulatory hormone. The mouse proprotein contains five thyrotropin-releasing hormone tripeptides. Thyrotropin-releasing hormone is involved in the regulation and release of thyroid-stimulating hormone, as well as prolactin. Disruption of this gene results in hypothyroidism, elevated thyroid-stimulating hormone levels, and hyperglycemia. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2013]

UniProt Comments for TRH    Function: Functions as a regulator of the biosynthesis of TSH in the anterior pituitary gland and as a neurotransmitter/ neuromodulator in the central and peripheral nervous systems.
