The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 39.07 pg/ml-2500 pg/ml in biological research samples containing TNNC1, with an estimated sensitivity of 9.77 pg/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS900204 kit is based on TNNC1 antibody-TNNC1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect TNNC1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, TNNC1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Product Description specifically for TNNC1 elisa kit

   Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for TNNC2 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any TNNC2 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for TNNC2 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of TNNC2 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

 UniProt Comments for TNNC1    TNNC1: Troponin is the central regulatory protein of striated muscle contraction. Tn consists of three components: Tn-I which is the inhibitor of actomyosin ATPase, Tn-T which contains the binding site for tropomyosin and Tn-C. The binding of calcium to Tn-C abolishes the inhibitory action of Tn on actin filaments. Defects in TNNC1 are the cause of cardiomyopathy dilated type 1Z (CMD1Z). Dilated cardiomyopathy is a disorder characterized by ventricular dilation and impaired systolic function, resulting in congestive heart failure and arrhythmia. Patients are at risk of premature death. Defects in TNNC1 are the cause of familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy type 13 (CMH13). A hereditary heart disorder characterized by ventricular hypertrophy, which is usually asymmetric and often involves the interventricular septum. The symptoms include dyspnea, syncope, collapse, palpitations, and chest pain. They can be readily provoked by exercise. The disorder has inter- and intrafamilial variability ranging from benign to malignant forms with high risk of cardiac failure and sudden cardiac death. Belongs to the troponin C family.
