Searchable Terms for GH1 purchase    MBS704447 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Competitive ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the growth hormone 1 (GH1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 2.5 ng/ml-100 ng/ml in biological research samples containing GH1, with an estimated sensitivity of 2.5 ng/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS704447 kit is based on GH1 antibody-GH1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect GH1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, GH1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma and tissue homogenates. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%). Pituitary derived growth hormone (somatotropin) as been a great therapeutic discovery for human clinical, veterinarian or fish (salmon) culturing uses. Detection of GH protein levels in samples of serum at ng ml sensitivities and with excellent assay precision requires use of MyBiosource GH1 ELISA kits for human GH1 or pig 1 GH1. Our porcine-specific ELISA assay does not cross react with related somatomedin or with salmon somatotropin cat growth hormone 1 or human growth hormone; for critical and precision research. Your valuable cell or blood sample result will be reproducible and publishable with our proprietary competitive technical assay. Our carefully chosen primary antibody, paired secondary antibodies and other reagents ensure intra and inter assay accuracy. We stock significant quantities of this product as with all our products, eliminating lot variability and keeping our standard (s) high. Product Description specifically for GH1 elisa kit

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with goat-anti-rabbit antibody. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with an antibody specific for GH and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated GH, then incubated. Then substrate solutions are added to the wells, respectively. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The concentration of GH in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

UniProt Comments for GH1    Function: Plays an important role in growth control. Its major role in stimulating body growth is to stimulate the liver and other tissues to secrete IGF-1. It stimulates both the differentiation and proliferation of myoblasts. It also stimulates amino acid uptake and protein synthesis in muscle and other tissues.
