Specificity    This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of pig LH. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between pig LH and analogues was observed.
Section Bar
 Samples    Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates
 Assay Type    Competitive
 Detection Range    3 mIU/ml -600 mIU/ml.
Sensitivity    The minimum detectable dose of pig LH is typically less than 1.5 mIU/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest pig LH concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations.
Intra-assay Precision    Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<15%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision    Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<15%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.

Preparation and Storage    Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
ISO Certification    Manufactured in an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Laboratory.
Product Note    Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of LH elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for LH purchase    MBS702946 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Competitive ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the luteinizing hormone (LH) ELISA kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 3 mIU/ml -600 mIU/ml in biological research samples containing LH, with an estimated sensitivity of The minimum detectable dose of pig LH is typically less than 1.5 mIU/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest pig LH concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS702946 kit is based on LH antibody-LH antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect LH antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, LH. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for LH elisa kit

Principle of the assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with goat-anti-rabbit antibody. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with an antibody specific for LH and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated LH. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with HRP labeled LH and unlabeled LH with the antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of LH in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

NCBI Summary for LH    This gene encodes the receptor for both luteinizing hormone and choriogonadotropin. This receptor belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family, and its activity is mediated by G proteins which activate adenylate cyclase. Mutations in this gene result in disorders of male secondary sexual character development, including familial male precocious puberty, also known as testotoxicosis, hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, Leydig cell adenoma with precocious puberty, and male pseudohermaphtoditism with Leydig cell hypoplasia. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

UniProt Comments for LH    Function: Receptor for lutropin-choriogonadotropic hormone. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which activate adenylate cyclase.

Research Articles on LH    1. results of the experiments showed that hCGbeta action leads to the increase in ERK and AKT kinases phosphorylation in cancer cells and indicate that these biological effects can be achieved independently of human chorionic gonadotropin presence
