Other Notes
Small volumes of CTNT elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS041411 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Cardiac Troponin T (CTNT) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 31.2 pg/ml - 1000 pg/ml in biological research samples containing CTNT, with an estimated sensitivity of 5.0 pg/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS041411 kit is based on CTNT antibody-CTNT antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect CTNT antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, CTNT. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Undiluted original Porcine body fluids, tissue homogenates, secretions or feces samples. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Background/Introduction: This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, NOT for drug, household, therapeutic or diagnostic applications! This kit is intended to be used for determination the level of CTNT (hereafter termed "analyte") in undiluted original Porcine body fluids, tissue homogenates, secretions or feces samples. This kit is NOT suitable for assaying non-biological sources of substances.

NCBI Summary for CTNT
The protein encoded by this gene is the tropomyosin-binding subunit of the troponin complex, which is located on the thin filament of striated muscles and regulates muscle contraction in response to alterations in intracellular calcium ion concentration. Mutations in this gene have been associated with familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy as well as with dilated cardiomyopathy. Transcripts for this gene undergo alternative splicing that results in many tissue-specific isoforms, however, the full-length nature of some of these variants has not yet been determined. UniProt Comments for CTNT
TNNT2: Troponin T is the tropomyosin-binding subunit of troponin, the thin filament regulatory complex which confers calcium-sensitivity to striated muscle actomyosin ATPase activity. Heart. The fetal heart shows a greater expression in the atrium than in the ventricle, while the adult heart shows a greater expression in the ventricle than in the atrium. Isoform 6 predominates in normal adult heart. Isoforms 1, 7 and 8 are expressed in fetal heart. Isoform 7 is also expressed in failing adult heart. Belongs to the troponin T family. 11 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
