If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of PTPRR elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for PTPRR purchase    MBS037979 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase Receptor Type R (PTPRR) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing PTPRR. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS037979 kit is based on PTPRR antibody-PTPRR antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect PTPRR antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, PTPRR. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for PTPRR    The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. PTPs are known to be signaling molecules that regulate a variety of cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle, and oncogenic transformation. This PTP possesses an extracellular region, a single transmembrane region, and a single intracellular catalytic domain, and thus represents a receptor-type PTP. Silencing of this gene has been associated with colorectal cancer. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. This gene shares a symbol (PTPRQ) with another gene, protein tyrosine phosphatase, receptor type, Q (GeneID 374462), which is also located on chromosome 12. [provided by RefSeq, May 2011]

UniProt Comments for PTPRR    PTP-SL: Sequesters mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs) such as MAPK1, MAPK3 and MAPK14 in the cytoplasm in an inactive form. The MAPKs bind to a dephosphorylated kinase interacting motif, phosphorylation of which by the protein kinase A complex releases the MAPKs for activation and translocation into the nucleus. Belongs to the protein-tyrosine phosphatase family. Receptor class 7 subfamily. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: EC 3.1.3.48; Membrane protein, integral; Receptor protein phosphatase, tyrosine; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 12q15

Cellular Component: extracellular space; perinuclear region of cytoplasm; plasma membrane; integral to membrane

Molecular Function: protein binding; transmembrane receptor protein tyrosine phosphatase activity; protein tyrosine phosphatase activity; protein kinase binding

Biological Process: in utero embryonic development; protein amino acid dephosphorylation
