Specificity    This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of BMPR1B. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between BMPR1B and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between BMPR1B and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.

Preparation and Storage    Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.
Sample Preparation    We suggest pre-experimenting with neat (undiluted) samples, 1:2 or 1:4 dilutions. Please avoid diluting your samples more than 1:10 as it would exceed the dilution limit set for this kit. If the expected concentration of the target is beyond the detection range of the kit, please contact our technical support team
Product Note    Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of BMPR1B elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for BMPR1B purchase    MBS753333 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Competitive ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Bone Morphogenetic Protein Receptor 1B (BMPR1B) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 0.5-10ng/mL in biological research samples containing BMPR1B, with an estimated sensitivity of 0.1 ng/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS753333 kit is based on BMPR1B antibody-BMPR1B antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect BMPR1B antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, BMPR1B. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma, Cell Culture Supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for BMPR1B elisa kit

Principle of the assay: BMPR1B ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-BMPR1B antibody and an BMPR1B-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with BMPR1B-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the BMPR1B concentration since BMPR1B from samples and BMPR1B-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-BMPR1B antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by BMPR1B from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind BMPR1B-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The BMPR1B concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Summary for BMPR1B    This gene encodes a member of the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) receptor family of transmembrane serine/threonine kinases. The ligands of this receptor are BMPs, which are members of the TGF-beta superfamily. BMPs are involved in endochondral bone formation and embryogenesis. These proteins transduce their signals through the formation of heteromeric complexes of 2 different types of serine (threonine) kinase receptors: type I receptors of about 50-55 kD and type II receptors of about 70-80 kD. Type II receptors bind ligands in the absence of type I receptors, but they require their respective type I receptors for signaling, whereas type I receptors require their respective type II receptors for ligand binding. Mutations in this gene have been associated with primary pulmonary hypertension. Several transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene.
