Specificity    This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Rat FN. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Rat FN and analogues was observed. Note: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross- reactivity detection between Rat FN and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist.

Other Notes    Small volumes of FN elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for FN purchase    MBS2509415 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the FN, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 1.25-80ng/mL in biological research samples containing FN, with an estimated sensitivity of Min: 0.75ng/mL; Max: 80ng/mL. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2509415 kit is based on FN antibody-FN antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect FN antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, FN. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, Plasma, Biological Fluids. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for FN elisa kit

Description: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of FN in Rat serum, plasma and other biological fluids
Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat FN. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and bound by the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat FN and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat FN, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat FN. You can calculate the concentration of Rat FN in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Summary for FN    This gene encodes fibronectin, a glycoprotein present in a soluble dimeric form in plasma, and in a dimeric or multimeric form at the cell surface and in extracellular matrix. Fibronectin is involved in cell adhesion and migration processes including embryogenesis, wound healing, blood coagulation, host defense, and metastasis. The gene has three regions subject to alternative splicing, with the potential to produce 20 different transcript variants. However, the full-length nature of some variants has not been determined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

UniProt Comments for FN    FN1: Fibronectins bind cell surfaces and various compounds including collagen, fibrin, heparin, DNA, and actin. Fibronectins are involved in cell adhesion, cell motility, opsonization, wound healing, and maintenance of cell shape. Defects in FN1 are the cause of glomerulopathy with fibronectin deposits type 2 (GFND2); also known as familial glomerular nephritis with fibronectin deposits or fibronectin glomerulopathy. GFND is a genetically heterogeneous autosomal dominant disorder characterized clinically by proteinuria, microscopic hematuria, and hypertension that leads to end-stage renal failure in the second to fifth decade of life. 15 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
