We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of GATA5 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for GATA5 purchase    MBS2511569 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Quantitative Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the GATA5, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 0.313-20ng/mL in biological research samples containing GATA5, with an estimated sensitivity of 0.188ng/mL. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2511569 kit is based on GATA5 antibody-GATA5 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect GATA5 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, GATA5. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma and other biological fluids. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for GATA5 elisa kit

Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Rat GATA5 concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to GATA5. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for GATA5 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain GATA5, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of GATA5. You can calculate the concentration of GATA5 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Summary for GATA5    The protein encoded by this gene is a transcription factor that contains two GATA-type zinc fingers. The encoded protein is known to bind to hepatocyte nuclear factor-1alpha (HNF-1alpha), and this interaction is essential for cooperative activation of the intestinal lactase-phlorizin hydrolase promoter. In other organisms, similar proteins may be involved in the establishment of cardiac smooth muscle cell diversity. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

UniProt Comments for GATA5    GATA5: Binds to the functionally important CEF-1 nuclear protein binding site in the cardiac-specific slow/cardiac troponin C transcriptional enhancer. May play an important role in the transcriptional program(s) that underlies smooth muscle cell diversity. Rare variants in GATA5 may be a cause of susceptibility to atrial fibrillation, a common sustained cardiac rhythm disturbance. Atrial fibrillation is characterized by disorganized atrial electrical activity and ineffective atrial contraction promoting blood stasis in the atria and reduces ventricular filling. It can result in palpitations, syncope, thromboembolic stroke, and congestive heart failure.
