Searchable Terms for MCP-4/CCL13 purchase    MBS2510335 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the MCP-4 (MCP-4/CCL13) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 15.625-1000pg/mL in biological research samples containing MCP-4/CCL13, with an estimated sensitivity of The minimum detectable dose of Rat MCP-4/CCL13 is 9.375pg/mL (The sensitivity of this assay, or lowest detectable limit (LDL) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero). The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2510335 kit is based on MCP-4/CCL13 antibody-MCP-4/CCL13 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect MCP-4/CCL13 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, MCP-4/CCL13. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma and other biological fluids. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Product Description specifically for MCP-4/CCL13 elisa kit

Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to MCP-4/CCL13. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for MCP-4/CCL13 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain MCP-4/CCL13, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of MCP-4/CCL13. You can calculate the concentration of MCP-4/CCL13 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Summary for MCP-4/CCL13    This antimicrobial gene is one of several Cys-Cys (CC) cytokine genes clustered on the q-arm of chromosome 17. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The cytokine encoded by this gene displays chemotactic activity for monocytes, lymphocytes, basophils and eosinophils, but not neutrophils. This chemokine plays a role in accumulation of leukocytes during inflammation. It may also be involved in the recruitment of monocytes into the arterial wall during artherosclerosis. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2014]

UniProt Comments for MCP-4/CCL13    CCL13: Chemotactic factor that attracts monocytes, lymphocytes, basophils and eosinophils, but not neutrophils. Signals through CCR2B and CCR3 receptors. Plays a role in the accumulation of leukocytes at both sides of allergic and non-allergic inflammation. May be involved in the recruitment of monocytes into the arterial wall during the disease process of atherosclerosis. May play a role in the monocyte attraction in tissues chronically exposed to exogenous pathogens. By IL1/interleukin-1 and TNF. Widely expressed. Found in small intestine, thymus, colon, lung, trachea, stomach and lymph node. Low levels seen in the pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells. Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family.

Protein type: Secreted; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Secreted, signal peptide; Chemokine
