Preparation and Storage    The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.
ISO Certification    Manufactured in an ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 Certified Laboratory.
Supply Chain Verification    Manufactured in a lab with traceable raw materials manufactured on site. Coordinated product portfolio of antibodies, pairs, conjugates, recombinant proteins, and immunoassay materials available. Please inquire.
Product Note    Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of PDGFRa elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for PDGFRa purchase    MBS2024371 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Double-antibody Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Platelet Derived Growth Factor Receptor Alpha (PDGFRa) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL in biological research samples containing PDGFRa, with an estimated sensitivity of < 0.056ng/mL. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2024371 kit is based on PDGFRa antibody-PDGFRa antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect PDGFRa antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, PDGFRa. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Tissue homogenates, Cell lysates and Other Biological Fluids. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for PDGFRa elisa kit

The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Platelet Derived Growth Factor Receptor Alpha (PDGFRa). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Platelet Derived Growth Factor Receptor Alpha (PDGFRa). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Platelet Derived Growth Factor Receptor Alpha (PDGFRa), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Platelet Derived Growth Factor Receptor Alpha (PDGFRa) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Summary for PDGFRa    This gene encodes a cell surface tyrosine kinase receptor for members of the platelet-derived growth factor family. These growth factors are mitogens for cells of mesenchymal origin. The identity of the growth factor bound to a receptor monomer determines whether the functional receptor is a homodimer or a heterodimer, composed of both platelet-derived growth factor receptor alpha and beta polypeptides. Studies suggest that this gene plays a role in organ development, wound healing, and tumor progression. Mutations in this gene have been associated with idiopathic hypereosinophilic syndrome, somatic and familial gastrointestinal stromal tumors, and a variety of other cancers. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2012]

UniProt Comments for PDGFRa    PDGFRA: a receptor tyrosine kinase of the PDGFR family that binds members of the platelet-derived growth factor family. The identity of the growth factor bound determines whether the functional receptor is a homodimer or a heterodimer, composed of both PDGFR-alpha and -beta. Ligand binding induces receptor dimerization and autophosphorylation. Particularly important for kidney development since mice heterozygous for the receptor exhibit defective kidney phenotypes. Chromosomal rearrangments activate PDGFRalpha by fusion to BCR, causing atypical chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML), and to FIP1L1, causing idiopathic hypereosinophilic syndrome. Activating point mutations cause a minority of gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST). Promoter polymorphisms linked to neural tube defects including spina bifida, verified by mouse mutant model. Inhibitors: Gleevec, Sutent. OMIM: Two alternatively-spliced isoforms have been described.
