Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for TX-A2 purchase    MBS267231 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Thromboxane A2 (TX-A2) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 1000 pg/ml-15.6 pg/ml in biological research samples containing TX-A2, with an estimated sensitivity of Up to 5 pg/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS267231 kit is based on TX-A2 antibody-TX-A2 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect TX-A2 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, TX-A2. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Rat serum, plasma or cell culture supernatant and organizations in the natural and recombinant TX-A2 concentration. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for TX-A2 elisa kit

Principle of the Assay: This experiment use double-sandwich elisa technique and the ELISA Kit provided is typical. The pre-coated antibody is Rat TX-A2 monoclonal antibody and the detecting antibody is polyclonal antibody with biotin labeled. Samples and biotin labeling antibody are added into ELISA plate wells and washed out with PBS or TBS. Then Avidin-peroxidase conjugates are added to ELISA wells in order; Use TMB substrate for coloring after reactant thoroughly washed out by PBS or TBS. TMB turns into blue in peroxidase catalytic and finally turns into yellow under the action of acid. The color depth and the testing factors in samples are positively correlated.

NCBI Summary for TX-A2    This gene encodes a member of the G protein-coupled receptor family. The protein interacts with thromboxane A2 to induce platelet aggregation and regulate hemostasis. A mutation in this gene results in a bleeding disorder. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2009]

UniProt Comments for TX-A2    TXA2-R: Receptor for thromboxane A2 (TXA2), a potent stimulator of platelet aggregation. The activity of this receptor is mediated by a G-protein that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. In the kidney, the binding of TXA2 to glomerular TP receptors causes intense vasoconstriction. Activates phospholipase C. Isoform 1 activates adenylyl cyclase. Isoform 2 inhibits adenylyl cyclase. Defects in TBXA2R are the cause of susceptibility to bleeding disorder platelet-type 13 (BDPLT13). BDPLT13 is a disorder characterized by reduced platelet aggregation and a tendency to mild mucocutaneous bleeding. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: GPCR, family 1; Membrane protein, integral; Membrane protein, multi-pass; Receptor, GPCR

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19p13.3
