Preparation and Storage    Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.
Sample Preparation    We suggest pre-experimenting with neat (undiluted) samples, 1:2 or 1:4 dilutions. Please avoid diluting your samples more than 1:10 as it would exceed the dilution limit set for this kit. If the expected concentration of the target is beyond the detection range of the kit, please contact our technical support team
Product Note    Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes    Small volumes of FYN elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for FYN purchase    MBS7235905 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Competitive ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Tyrosine-protein kinase Fyn (FYN) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 250- 5000pg/mL in biological research samples containing FYN, with an estimated sensitivity of 1.0pg/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS7235905 kit is based on FYN antibody-FYN antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect FYN antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, FYN. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma, Cell Culture Supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for FYN    This gene is a member of the protein-tyrosine kinase oncogene family. It encodes a membrane-associated tyrosine kinase that has been implicated in the control of cell growth. The protein associates with the p85 subunit of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase and interacts with the fyn-binding protein. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms exist. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

UniProt Comments for FYN    Fyn: a tyrosine kinase of the Src family. Implicated in the control of cell growth. Plays a role in the regulation of intracellular calcium levels. Required in brain development and mature brain function with important roles in the regulation of axon growth, axon guidance, and neurite extension. Blocks axon outgrowth and attraction induced by NTN1 by phosphorylating its receptor DDC. Associates with the p85 subunit of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase and interacts with the fyn-binding protein. Three alternatively spliced isoforms have been described. Isoform 2 shows a greater ability to mobilize cytoplasmic calcium than isoform 1. Induced expression aids in cellular transformation and xenograft metastasis. In squamous cell carcinoma, Fyn transduces signals from EGFR and Src and is required for cell migration and invasiveness. Activity linked to migration in a murine melanoma model. Appears to block late stage development of neuroblastoma. Mouse knockout deficient in kindling response, a model for human epilepsy.
