Searchable Terms for FGF7 purchase    MBS701546 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the fibroblast growth factor 7 (keratinocyte growth factor) (FGF7) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 31.25 pg/ml-2000 pg/ml in biological research samples containing FGF7, with an estimated sensitivity of 7.81 pg/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS701546 kit is based on FGF7 antibody-FGF7 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect FGF7 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, FGF7. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Related Product Information for FGF7 elisa kit

Introduction: The Keratinocyte Growth Factor (KGF), also known as FGF7, is a member of the family of fibroblast growth factors present in the epithelialization-phase of wound healing. In this phase, keratinocytes are covering the wound, forming the epithelium. KGF is a natural substance that stimulates the growth of epithelial cells in the skin and in the lining of the mouth, stomach, and intestines. It is synthesized by skin fibroblasts. KGF is a small signaling molecule that binds to fibroblast growth factor receptor 2b (FGFR2b). For signalling to occur, a dimer is required between two FGF:FGFR complexes that is linked together by a molecule of heparin.

Principle of the Assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to KGF. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody preparation specific for KGF and Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then a TMB (3,3',5,5' tetramethyl-benzidine) substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain KGF, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The concentration of KGF in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
