Other Notes    Small volumes of NTN1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for NTN1 purchase    MBS943237 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the netrin 1 (NTN1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range of 18.75 pg/ml-1200 pg/ml in biological research samples containing NTN1, with an estimated sensitivity of 4.7 pg/ml. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS943237 kit is based on NTN1 antibody-NTN1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect NTN1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, NTN1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Product Description specifically for NTN1 elisa kit

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for NTN1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any NTN1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for NTN1 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of NTN1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

NCBI Summary for NTN1    plays a role in axon guidance during development; may also be involved in cell-cell interactions in the adult nervous system [RGD, Feb 2006]
Section Bar
UniProt Comments for NTN1    Function: Netrins control guidance of CNS commissural axons and peripheral motor axons. Its association with either DCC or some UNC5 receptors will lead to axon attraction or repulsion, respectively. It also serve as a survival factor via its association with its receptors which prevent the initiation of apoptosis. Involved in colorectal tumorigenesis by regulating apoptosis 1 PublicationManual assertion based on experiment in:Ref.2

Research Articles on NTN1    1. Shootin1 is located at a critical interface, transducing a chemical signal into traction forces for axon outgrowth. A chemoattractant, netrin-1, positively regulates traction forces at axonal growth cones via Pak1-mediated shootin1 phosphorylation.
