Specificity    This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Sheep PGAM2. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Sheep PGAM2 and analogues was observed. Note: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross- reactivity detection between Sheep PGAM2 and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist.

Product Note    Our ELISA assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay.
Other Notes    Small volumes of PGAM2 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Searchable Terms for PGAM2 purchase    MBS2515614 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate Sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the PGAM2, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing PGAM2. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2515614 kit is based on PGAM2 antibody-PGAM2 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect PGAM2 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, PGAM2. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions such as Serum, Plasma, Biological Fluids. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Product Description specifically for PGAM2 elisa kit

Description: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of PGAM2 in Sheep serum, plasma and other biological fluids
Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Sheep PGAM2. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and bound by the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Sheep PGAM2 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Sheep PGAM2, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Sheep PGAM2. You can calculate the concentration of Sheep PGAM2 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Summary for PGAM2    Phosphoglycerate mutase (PGAM) catalyzes the reversible reaction of 3-phosphoglycerate (3-PGA) to 2-phosphoglycerate (2-PGA) in the glycolytic pathway. The PGAM is a dimeric enzyme containing, in different tissues, different proportions of a slow-migrating muscle (MM) isozyme, a fast-migrating brain (BB) isozyme, and a hybrid form (MB). This gene encodes muscle-specific PGAM subunit. Mutations in this gene cause muscle phosphoglycerate mutase eficiency, also known as glycogen storage disease X. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]

UniProt Comments for PGAM2    PGAM2: Interconversion of 3- and 2-phosphoglycerate with 2,3- bisphosphoglycerate as the primer of the reaction. Can also catalyze the reaction of EC 5.4.2.4 (synthase) and EC 3.1.3.13 (phosphatase), but with a reduced activity. Defects in PGAM2 are the cause of glycogen storage disease type 10 (GSD10). A metabolic disorder characterized by myoglobinuria, increased serum creatine kinase levels, decreased phosphoglycerate mutase activity, myalgia, muscle pain, muscle cramps and excercise intolerance. Belongs to the phosphoglycerate mutase family. BPG- dependent PGAM subfamily.

Protein type: EC 5.4.2.11; Phosphatase (non-protein); EC 3.1.3.13; EC 5.4.2.4; Isomerase; Carbohydrate Metabolism - glycolysis and gluconeogenesis

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 7p13-p12

Cellular Component: nucleus; cytosol

Molecular Function: phosphoglycerate mutase activity; bisphosphoglycerate mutase activity; bisphosphoglycerate phosphatase activity; cofactor binding; 2,3-bisphosphoglycerate-dependent phosphoglycerate mutase activity

Biological Process: response to mercury ion; striated muscle contraction; glycolysis; dephosphorylation; carbohydrate metabolic process; glucose metabolic process; pathogenesis; spermatogenesis; gluconeogenesis

Disease: Glycogen Storage Disease X
