Preparation and Storage    Prior to reconstitution store at 4 degree C. After reconstitution store at -70 degree C. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the protein. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life: 12 months from date of reconstitution.
Other Notes    Small volumes of EFNB2 recombinant protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

Related Product Information for EFNB2 recombinant protein

Ephrin B2 (EFNB2) is a type I transmembrane protein and member of the ephrin family, which acts as a ligand for the receptor tyrosine kinases EPHB4 and EPHB3 and has been linked with a range of physiological systems including neurotransmission, synaptic plasticity, lymphatic and renal development, tumour metastasis and bone remodelling. Ligation of EFNB2 with complementary EphB receptors on adjacent cells results in a combination of forward (EphB receptors) and reverse (ephrin B2) signalling, which is central to tissue development and remodelling functions.
Applications Tested/Suitable for EFNB2 recombinant protein

ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB)

NCBI Summary for EFNB2    This gene encodes a member of the ephrin (EPH) family. The ephrins and EPH-related receptors comprise the largest subfamily of receptor protein-tyrosine kinases and have been implicated in mediating developmental events, especially in the nervous system and in erythropoiesis. Based on their structures and sequence relationships, ephrins are divided into the ephrin-A (EFNA) class, which are anchored to the membrane by a glycosylphosphatidylinositol linkage, and the ephrin-B (EFNB) class, which are transmembrane proteins. This gene encodes an EFNB class ephrin which binds to the EPHB4 and EPHA3 receptors. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

UniProt Comments for EFNB2    EFNB2: a type I membrane protein of the ephrin family. A ligand of Eph-related receptor tyrosine kinases EphA3 and EphB4. Ephrins and ephrin receptors mediate numerous developmental processes, particularly in the nervous system. Ephrin-B2 is implicated in mediating developmental events, especially in the nervous system and in erythropoiesis. May play a role in constraining the orientation of longitudinally projecting axons
