 Purity/Purification    >98% by SDS PAGE and HPLC analysis
 Form/Format    Purified recombinant protein - lyophilised
 Concentration    Approximate Protein Concentration: 0.1 mg/ml after reconstitution (lot specific)
Section Bar
 Reconstitution    Reconstitute with 0.2ml distilled water. Care should be taken during reconstitution as the protein may appear as a film at the bottom of the vial. MyBioSource recommends that the vial is gently mixed after reconstitution.
 Buffer Solution    10mM Acetic Acid
 Activity    The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of murine FDC-P1 cells is = 0.05 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of = 2 x 107 units/mg.
 Target Species    Mouse
Section Bar
 Preparation and Storage    Prior to reconstitution store at 4 degree C. Following reconstitution store at -20 degree C. This product should be stored undiluted. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the protein. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life: 3 months from date of reconstitution.
 Other Notes    Small volumes of GM-CSF recombinant protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

Related Product Information for GM-CSF recombinant protein

   GM-CSF (granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor) is a haematopoietic growth factor which exists in both glycosylated and non-glycosylated biologically active forms, and stimulates the development of granulocytes, macrophages, early megakaryocytes and eosinophil progenitor cells. The ability of recombinant GM-CSF to increase haematopoietic cell recovery has become a focus area in the therapeutic treatment of patients following bone marrow transplantation.
 Applications Tested/Suitable for GM-CSF recombinant protein

ELISA (EIA), Functional Assays (FN), Western Blot (WB)

 Application Notes for GM-CSF recombinant protein    ELISA: Minimum Dilution: 0.2; Maximum Dilution: 0.4ng/well;
Western Blotting: Minimum Dilution: 1.5; Maximum Dilution: 3.0ng/lane

 Research Articles on GM-CSF    1. Expression of PPAR-gamma in fetal lung monocytes was dependent on the cytokine GM-CSF. Therefore, GM-CSF has a lung-specific role in the perinatal development of alveolar macrophages through the induction of PPAR-gamma in fetal monocytes.
