Preparation and Storage    Prior to reconstitution store at 4 degree C. Following reconstitution store at -20 degree C. This product should be stored undiluted. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the protein. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life: 3 months from date of reconstitution.
Other Notes    Small volumes of CXCL3 recombinant protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for CXCL3    This antimicrobial gene encodes a member of the CXC subfamily of chemokines. The encoded protein is a secreted growth factor that signals through the G-protein coupled receptor, CXC receptor 2. This protein plays a role in inflammation and as a chemoattractant for neutrophils. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2014]
Section Bar
UniProt Comments for CXCL3    CXCL3: Ligand for CXCR2. Has chemotactic activity for neutrophils. May play a role in inflammation and exert its effects on endothelial cells in an autocrine fashion. In vitro, the processed form GRO-gamma(5-73) shows a fivefold higher chemotactic activity for neutrophilic granulocytes. Belongs to the intercrine alpha (chemokine CxC) family.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 4q21

Cellular Component: extracellular space; extracellular region

Molecular Function: chemokine activity; CXCR chemokine receptor binding

Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; neutrophil chemotaxis; immune response; response to lipopolysaccharide; positive regulation of leukocyte chemotaxis; inflammatory response; regulation of cell proliferation
