Not for use in diagnostic procedures. TOP Clonality Monoclonal Isotype Mouse IgG2a kappa Clone Number 34-1-2S Host Mouse Species Reactivity Mouse Specificity An epitope in the alpha 3 domain that is common to H-2Kd and H-2DdThe "classical" MHC Class I molecules are histocompatibility antigens encoded by the H-2 gene complex and consist of heterodimers of highly polymorphic alpha chains noncovalently associated with the invariant beta 2-microglobulin.3,4 These antigens are expressed on most nucleated cells but expression varies on different cell types. MHC Class I molecules present endogenously synthesized peptides to CD8+ T lymphocytes, which are usually cytotoxic T cells.5 MHC Class I antigens expressed on thymic epithelial cells regulate the positive and negative selection of CD8+ T cells during T cell ontogeny.3,6 The monoclonal antibody 34-1-2S binds to a common determinant in the alpha 3 domains of H-2Kd and H-2Dd in the presence or absence of beta 2 microglobulin.7,8 It cross reacts with the alpha 3 domain of H-2Kb.1,2 Form/Format Biotin (BIOT) Conjugate Immunogen C3H alpha BDF1 mouse splenocytes Characterization To ensure lot to lot consistency, each batch of product is tested by flow cytometry to conform to characteristics of a standard reference reagent. Preparation and Storage The purified (UNLB) antibody is supplied as 0.5 mg of purified immunoglobulin in 1.0 mL of 100 mM borate buffered saline, pH 8.2. No preservatives or amine-containing buffer salts added. Store at 2- 8 degree C. The fluorescein (FITC) conjugate is supplied as 0.5 mg in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3. Store at 2-8 degree C. The biotin (BIOT) conjugate is supplied as 0.5 mg in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3. Store at 2-8 degree C. The R-phycoerythrin (R-PE) conjugate is supplied as 0.1 mg in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3 and a stabilizing agent. Store at 2-8 degree C. Do not freeze! Protect conjugated forms from light. Each reagent is stable for the period shown on the bottle label if stored as directed. Other Notes Small volumes of Mouse (C3H/HeJ) Anti-Mouse H-2Kd/H-2Dd secondary antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
