 3D Structure    ModBase 3D Structure for Q64010
 Host    E Coli
 Species Reactivity    Mouse
Section Bar
Specificity    CRK shRNA Plasmid (Mouse) contains 3 different target-specific plasmids each encoding 19-23 nt (plus hairpin) shRNAs designed to knock down gene expression. Each plasmid contains a resistance gene for the selection of cells stably expressing shRNA.
 Form/Format    Lyophilized Powder
Section Bar
Quality Control    The sequence of shRNA is guaranteed by sequencing.
Directions for Use    Resuspend lyophilized shRNA plasmid DNA in 500 ul of the deionized water. Each vial contains 50 ug of lyophilized shRNA plasmid DNA. Suitable for up to 50 transfections.
Components    We offer 3 different plasmids which knock down mouse CRK gene specifically. Each vial contains 50 ug of lyophilized shRNA.
Section Bar
Preparation and Storage    Store lyophilized shRNA plasmid DNA at -20 degree C with desiccant. Stable for one year. Once resuspended, store at 4 degree C for short term storage or -80 degree C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles.
Other Notes    Small volumes of CRK shrna vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for CRK    This gene is part of a family of adapter proteins that mediate formation of signal transduction complexes in response to extracellular stimuli, such as growth and differentiation factors. Protein-protein interactions occur through the SH2 domain, which binds phosphorylated tyrosine residues, and the SH3 domain, which binds proline-rich peptide motifs. These interactions promote recruitment and activation of effector proteins to regulate cell migration, adhesion, and proliferation. In mouse this protein is essential for embryonic development. Alternatively spliced transcripts encoding different isoforms with distinct biological activity have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2013]
Section Bar
UniProt Comments for CRK    Isoform Crk-II: Regulates cell adhesion, spreading and migration. Mediates attachment-induced MAPK8 activation, membrane ruffling and cell motility in a Rac-dependent manner. Involved in phagocytosis of apoptotic cells and cell motility via its interaction with DOCK1 and DOCK4. May regulate the EFNA5-EPHA3 signaling.
