Arginine--tRNA ligase, cytoplasmic Antibody
|Also known as Arginine--tRNA ligase, cytoplasmic (Arginyl-tRNA synthetase) (ArgRS). |
RARS: Forms part of a macromolecular complex that catalyzes the attachment of specific amino acids to cognate tRNAs during protein synthesis. Modulates the secretion of AIMP1 and may be involved in generation of the inflammatory cytokine EMAP2 from AIMP1. Belongs to the class-I aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase family.
2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative initiation.
Protein type: EC 220.127.116.11; Ligase; Mitochondrial; RNA-binding; Translation
Cellular Component: aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase multienzyme complex; cytoplasm; membrane; mitochondrion; nucleoplasm
Molecular Function: arginine-tRNA ligase activity; ATP binding; tRNA binding
Biological Process: arginyl-tRNA aminoacylation
