Beta-mammal/insect toxin

separator
Beta toxins bind voltage-independently at site-4 of sodium channels (Nav) and shift the voltage of activation toward more negative potentials thereby affecting sodium channel activation and promoting spontaneous and repetitive firing. Competes, with apparent high affinity, with anti-insect and anti-mammalian beta-toxins for binding to cockroach and rat brain synaptosomes, respectively. Also competes with an anti-mammalian alpha-toxin on binding to rat brain sodium channels. Has a weak effect on cardiac sodium channels and a marked effect on rat brain and skeletal muscle sodium channels.

Below are the list of possible Beta-mammal/insect toxin products. If you cannot find the target and/or product is not available in our catalog, please click here to contact us and request the product or submit your request for custom elisa kit production, custom recombinant protein production or custom antibody production. Custom ELISA Kits, Recombinant Proteins and Antibodies can be designed, manufactured and produced according to the researcher's specifications.

voltage-independently at site-4 of sodium channels (Nav) and shift the voltage of activation toward more negative potentials thereby affecting sodium channel activation and promoting spontaneous and repetitive firing. In addition, it stimulates the release of NO, IL-6 and TNF-alpha in J774.1 cells (PubMed:21549737). This toxin is active against both mammals and insects.
