Target of rapamycin

separator
Regulates cell growth, chemotaxis, signal relay and the actin cytoskeleton. Functions as a part of 2 distinct protein complexes TORC1 and TORC2. TORC1 is a rapamycin-sensitive complex that controls cell growth in response to nutrients and growth factors. The second TOR complex, TORC2, is presumed to be indirectly negatively modulated by rapamycin and regulates actin polarization. TORC2 but not TORC1 negatively regulates phagocytosis. TORC2-dependent regulation of the cytoskeleton may follow differential phosphorylation of pkbA. May have some protein kinase activity, as it appears to phosphorylate pkgB.

Below are the list of possible Target of rapamycin products. If you cannot find the target and/or product is not available in our catalog, please click here to contact us and request the product or submit your request for custom elisa kit production, custom recombinant protein production or custom antibody production. Custom ELISA Kits, Recombinant Proteins and Antibodies can be designed, manufactured and produced according to the researcher's specifications.

Also known as Target of rapamycin homolog (CeTOR) (Lethal protein 363).
Serine/threonine-protein kinase that regulates the mRNA translation machinery, probably by modulating the activity of translation factors such as eIF-4G and eIF-2. It may have some protein kinase activity instead of lipid kinase activity (PubMed:12225660). Required, during larval development, for the establishment of the proper number of germline progenitors, probably upstream of rsks-1 and ife-1 (PubMed:22278922). Required for larval development (PubMed:22278922). May act as a mediator of lifespan regulation by insulin
