Pseudopodium-enriched atypical kinase
Tyrosine kinase that may play a role in cell spreading and migration on fibronectin. May directly or indirectly affect phosphorylation levels of cytoskeleton-associated proteins MAPK1/ERK and PXN (By similarity).

Pseudopodium-enriched atypical kinase 1
PEAK1: a cytoskeleton-associated non-receptor tyrosine kinase that localizes to focal adhesions and actin filaments. Operates downstream of integrin and epidermal growth factor receptors, regulating the P130Cas-Crk-PXN and MAPK signaling. In the late stages of EGF signaling, SGK269 mediates Shc1 protein interactions involved in and cell spreading, migration, and morphogenesis. Amplified in a large fraction of colon cancer. Influences anchorage-independent growth and tumor progression in mice.
