Species Reactivity
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of RPLP1. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between RPLP1 and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between RPLP1 and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.

Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.
Sample Preparation
We suggest pre-experimenting with neat (undiluted) samples, 1:2 or 1:4 dilutions. Please avoid diluting your samples more than 1:10 as it would exceed the dilution limit set for this kit. If the expected concentration of the target is beyond the detection range of the kit, please contact our technical support team
Product Note
Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes
Small volumes of RPLP1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS7223157 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the 60S acidic ribosomal protein P1 (RPLP1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing RPLP1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS7223157 kit is based on RPLP1 antibody-RPLP1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect RPLP1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, RPLP1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Intended Uses: This RPLP1 ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Human RPLP1.

Principle of the Assay: RPLP1 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-RPLP1 antibody and an RPLP1-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with RPLP1-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the RPLP1 concentration since RPLP1 from samples and RPLP1-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-RPLP1 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by RPLP1 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind RPLP1-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The RPLP1 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Summary for RPLP1
Ribosomes, the organelles that catalyze protein synthesis, consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. Together these subunits are composed of 4 RNA species and approximately 80 structurally distinct proteins. This gene encodes a ribosomal phosphoprotein that is a component of the 60S subunit. The protein, which is a functional equivalent of the E. coli L7/L12 ribosomal protein, belongs to the L12P family of ribosomal proteins. It plays an important role in the elongation step of protein synthesis. Unlike most ribosomal proteins, which are basic, the encoded protein is acidic. Its C-terminal end is nearly identical to the C-terminal ends of the ribosomal phosphoproteins P0 and P2. The P1 protein can interact with P0 and P2 to form a pentameric complex consisting of P1 and P2 dimers, and a P0 monomer. The protein is located in the cytoplasm. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode different proteins have been observed. As is typical for genes encoding ribosomal proteins, there are multiple processed pseudogenes of this gene dispersed through the genome. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
