MBS9335997 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the solute carrier family 16, member 3 (monocarboxylic acid transporter 4) (SLC16A3) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing SLC16A3. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS9335997 kit is based on SLC16A3 antibody-SLC16A3 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect SLC16A3 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, SLC16A3. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for SLC16A3
Lactic acid and pyruvate transport across plasma membranes is catalyzed by members of the proton-linked monocarboxylate transporter (MCT) family, which has been designated solute carrier family-16. Each MCT appears to have slightly different substrate and inhibitor specificities and transport kinetics, which are related to the metabolic requirements of the tissues in which it is found. The MCTs, which include MCT1 (SLC16A1; MIM 600682) and MCT2 (SLC16A7; MIM 603654), are characterized by 12 predicted transmembrane domains (Price et al., 1998 [PubMed 9425115]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]
UniProt Comments for SLC16A3
SLC16A3: Proton-linked monocarboxylate transporter. Catalyzes the rapid transport across the plasma membrane of many monocarboxylates such as lactate, pyruvate, branched-chain oxo acids derived from leucine, valine and isoleucine, and the ketone bodies acetoacetate, beta-hydroxybutyrate and acetate. Belongs to the major facilitator superfamily. Monocarboxylate porter (TC 2.A.1.13) family.
