This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of TFE. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between TFE and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between TFE and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.

Sample Preparation
We suggest pre-experimenting with neat (undiluted) samples, 1:2 or 1:4 dilutions. Please avoid diluting your samples more than 1:10 as it would exceed the dilution limit set for this kit. If the expected concentration of the target is beyond the detection range of the kit, please contact our technical support team

The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing TF. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS740730 kit is based on TF antibody-TF antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect TF antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, TF. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

This gene encodes a glycoprotein with an approximate molecular weight of 76.5 kDa. It is thought to have been created as a result of an ancient gene duplication event that led to generation of homologous C and N-terminal domains each of which binds one ion of ferric iron. The function of this protein is to transport iron from the intestine, reticuloendothelial system, and liver parenchymal cells to all proliferating cells in the body. This protein may also have a physiologic role as granulocyte/pollen-binding protein (GPBP) involved in the removal of certain organic matter and allergens from serum. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]
