The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing TLR-9. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS9300320 kit is based on TLR-9 antibody-TLR-9 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect TLR-9 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, TLR-9. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

TLR9: Key component of innate and adaptive immunity. TLRs (Toll-like receptors) control host immune response against pathogens through recognition of molecular patterns specific to microorganisms. TLR9 is a nucleotide-sensing TLR which is activated by unmethylated cytidine-phosphate-guanosine (CpG) dinucleotides. Acts via MYD88 and TRAF6, leading to NF-kappa-B activation, cytokine secretion and the inflammatory response. Controls lymphocyte response to Helicobacter infection. Interacts with MYD88 via their respective TIR domains. Interacts (via transmembrane domain) with UNC93B1.
