Product Note
Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes
Small volumes of TPM1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS9325448 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the tropomyosin 1 (alpha) (TPM1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing TPM1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS9325448 kit is based on TPM1 antibody-TPM1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect TPM1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, TPM1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Background: This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic or diagnostic applications! This kit is intended to be used for determination the level of TPM1 (hereafter termed "analyte") in undiluted original Mouse body fluids, tissue homogenates, secretions or feces samples. This kit is NOT suitable for assaying non-biological sources of substances.

UniProt Comments for TPM1
TPM1: a cytoskeletal protein that binds to actin filaments in muscle and nonmuscle cells. Plays a central role, in association with the troponin complex, in the calcium dependent regulation of vertebrate striated muscle contraction. Smooth muscle contraction is regulated by interaction with caldesmon. In non-muscle cells is implicated in stabilizing cytoskeleton actin filaments. Defects in TPM3 are a cause of nemaline myopathy type 1 (NEM1). Three alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Protein type: Actin-binding; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Motor

Cellular Component: filamentous actin; protein complex; cytoskeleton; myofibril; cytoplasm; muscle thin filament tropomyosin

Molecular Function: actin filament binding; protein homodimerization activity; structural constituent of cytoskeleton; protein N-terminus binding; actin binding

Biological Process: positive regulation of cell adhesion; wound healing; actin filament capping; in utero embryonic development; muscle filament sliding; regulation of ATPase activity; embryonic development; positive regulation of ATPase activity; positive regulation of stress fiber formation; ruffle organization and biogenesis; ventricular cardiac muscle morphogenesis; negative regulation of cell migration; positive regulation of heart rate by epinephrine; cardiac muscle contraction
