Intended Uses

This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic applications! It is intended to be determinated NP-Y concentrations in Chicken serum, plasma and other body fluids. Using Purified Chicken NP-Y antibody to coat Microelisa Stripplate wells to make solid-phase antibody, then add NP-Y and NP-Y antibody which has been labeled with HRP to wells, then the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, after washing completely, add TMB substrate solution, TMB substrate becomes blue color under HRP enzyme-catalyzed, reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of NP-Y in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. The neuropeptide functions through G protein-coupled receptors to inhibit adenylyl cyclase, activate mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), regulate intracellular calcium levels, and activate potassium channels. A polymorphism in this gene resulting in a change of leucine 7 to proline in the signal peptide is associated with elevated cholesterol levels, higher alcohol consumption, and may be a risk factor for various metabolic and cardiovascular diseases.
