MBS032199 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Early Growth Response Protein 1 (EGR1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing EGR1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS032199 kit is based on EGR1 antibody-EGR1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect EGR1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, EGR1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for EGR1

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the EGR family of C2H2-type zinc-finger proteins. It is a nuclear protein and functions as a transcriptional regulator. The products of target genes it activates are required for differentitation and mitogenesis. Studies suggest this is a cancer suppresor gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
