Other Notes

Small volumes of EV elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS047374 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Ebola Virus (EV) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing EV. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS047374 kit is based on EV antibody-EV antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect EV antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, EV. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%). Intended use of this ELISA Kit is qualitative detection of Ebola virus in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. Ebola Virus ELISA kit’s target molecule is envelope glycoprotein of Ebola virus, GP, which performs multiple functions in virus’ life cycle and pathogenesis of human disease caused by Ebola virus.

Test system is designed as sandwich-type ELISA and presence of GP is measured using pair of antibodies specific to GP antigen; these antibodies recognize both native and recombinant protein.

Product contains microwell plate with immobilized capture antibodies against GP and all reagents required for test, including sample and reagent diluents, and wash solution.

Assay kit provides colorimetric detection of Ebola virus protein using detector antibodies against GP conjugated to HRP, and its chromogen substrate solution.

Kit includes two controls for setting assay’s cutoff value and interpreting its results.

Intra- and inter-assay CV values, reported as kit’s precision characteristics, are not greater than 15%.

Assay doesn’t show significant cross-reactivity with analogous proteins.

ELISA kit and its reagents and components require refrigeration and must be stored at 2-8°C until indicated expiration date.
