Other Notes

Small volumes of TPG elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS012431 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Total Prostaglandin (TPG) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing TPG. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS012431 kit is based on TPG antibody-TPG antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect TPG antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, TPG. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for TPG

This gene is a member of an orphan homeobox-containing transcription factor family. Studies of the mouse ortholog have shown that the encoded protein is crucial for the development of the enteric nervous system; in humans, loss-of-function may play a role in tumorigenesis of gastrointestinal stromal tumors. UniProt Comments for TPG

TLX2: Transcription activator that binds DNA elements with the consensus sequence 5'-CGGTAATTGG-3'. Binds DNA via its homeobox. Required for normal cell death of enteric neurons in the gastrointestinal tract. Required for normal development of the enteric nervous system, and for proper development of normal motility of the gastrointestinal tract.

Protein type: Cell development/differentiation; DNA-binding; Transcription factor

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2p13.1

Cellular Component: cytoplasm; nucleus

Molecular Function: sequence-specific DNA binding

Biological Process: mesoderm formation; transcription, DNA-dependent; regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; negative regulation of dendrite morphogenesis; enteric nervous system development
