Protein activity can be an ambiguous term. Please refer to the data sheet or inquire with Technical Support to determine the definition of activity for this product.
Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Fibroblast Growth Factor-basic (147 a.a.) in sterile PBS not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity
The ED50 as determined by a cell proliferation assay using murine balb/c 3T3 cells is < 0.1ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of > 1.0 ×107IU/mg.

Other Notes

Small volumes of bFGF2 active protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
