Corticotropin Releasing Hormone Binding Protein (CRHBP) Human Recombinant Protein

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS141551

Corticotropin Releasing Hormone Binding Protein or CRHBP is a hormone that stimulates the preopiomelanocortin-derived peptides secretion & synthesis. In general, the levels of CRHBP in the human plasma are relatively low. There are times when we can find high… More details

Other Notes

Small volumes of CRHBP recombinant protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for CRHBP

Corticotropin-releasing hormone is a potent stimulator of synthesis and secretion of preopiomelanocortin-derived peptides. Although CRH concentrations in the human peripheral circulation are normally low, they increase throughout pregnancy and fall rapidly after parturition. Maternal plasma CRH probably originates from the placenta. Human plasma contains a CRH-binding protein which inactivates CRH and which may prevent inappropriate pituitary-adrenal stimulation in pregnancy. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
