Active Protein Note
Protein activity can be an ambiguous term. Please refer to the data sheet or inquire with Technical Support to determine the definition of activity for this product.
Source
Escherichia Coli.
Biological Activity
Hemolytic activity for Recombinant Listeriolysin O was 1.18 x105 HU/mg of protein where HU means hemolytic activity unit that is the amount of toxin needed to release half the hemoglobin (50% lysis) of the erythrocytes as determined by hemolysin assay. 2mM DTT is used to reactivate the toxin.
Dry Ice Shipment
Extra charge fee may add to your shipping cost as dry ice is required to ship this product.

Other Notes

Small volumes of LLO active protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

Searchable Terms for LLO purchase

Bacteria have many tricks to keep us at their mercy. Listeria monocytogenes used listeriolysin - to to knock out host phagosome defenses. To better understand biology and to use as a cholesterol hole punch for cell biology journal experiments, MyBiosource offers a economical listeriolysin LLO for your bacterial assays. Uses for our highly purified LLO preparation run from infection of cells, dose response curves in SCID mice infected with EGD strain, sLLO mutant or wild type. All our recombinant proteins generate quality anti protein antibodies with excellent binding activity. By incorporating modern chemistry techniques, this LLO is expressed with conserved domain and will perform reliably for high throughput colony counts, when normalized to cell wall protein - see ACS Chemistry journal with abstract free and free full text publication for details. View our website for related ELISA kit anti sLLO stain and EGD sLLO strains. Your lab will thank you.
