Form/Format
CCL22 filtered (0.2 um) and lyophilized from a concentrated solution containing 20mM phosphate buffer & 150mM NaCl pH-7.4.
Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity/Purification
Greater than 97.0% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized CCL22 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18 degree C. Upon reconstitution CCL22 should be stored at 4 degree C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18 degree C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

10,302 Da
3D Structure
ModBase 3D Structure for O88430
Active Protein Note
Protein activity can be an ambiguous term. Please refer to the data sheet or inquire with Technical Support to determine the definition of activity for this product.
Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized CCL22 in sterile 18M Omega -cm H2O not less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity
Determined by its ability to chemoattract human activated lymphocytes using a concentration range of 10-100ng/ml corresponding to a Specific Activity of 10,000-100,000IU/mg.

Other Notes

Small volumes of mMDC active protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

UniProt Comments for mMDC

CCL22: May play a role in the trafficking of activated/effector T-lymphocytes to inflammatory sites and other aspects of activated T-lymphocyte physiology. Chemotactic for monocytes, dendritic cells and natural killer cells. Mild chemoattractant for primary activated T-lymphocytes and a potent chemoattractant for chronically activated T-lymphocytes but has no chemoattractant activity for neutrophils, eosinophils, and resting T-lymphocytes. Binds to CCR4. Processed forms MDC(3-69), MDC(5-69) and MDC(7-69) seem not be active. Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family.

Protein type: Secreted; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Chemokine; Secreted, signal peptide

Cellular Component: extracellular space; extracellular region

Molecular Function: chemokine activity; cytokine activity
