Active Protein Note
Protein activity can be an ambiguous term. Please refer to the data sheet or inquire with Technical Support to determine the definition of activity for this product.
Solubility
It is recommended to quick spin followed by reconstitution of IL1F10 in PBS to a concentration no less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity
As measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA, immobilized IL1F10 at 1 ug/ml (100 ul/well) can bind rHuIL-1 Rrp2/Fc Chimera with a linear range of 0.15- 5 ug/ml.

Other Notes

Small volumes of IL1F10 active protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for IL1F10

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family. This gene and eight other interleukin 1 family genes form a cytokine gene cluster on chromosome 2. This cytokine is thought to participate in a network of interleukin 1 family members to regulate adapted and innate immune responses. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been reported. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
