Host
E Coli
Form/Format
PGLYRP1 filtered (0.4 um) and lyophilized from 0.5mg/ml in 0.05M Acetate buffer pH-4.0.
Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity/Purification
Purity as determined by densitometric image analysis is greater than 90%.
Preparation and Storage
Store lyophilized protein at -20 degree C. Aliquot the product after reconstitution to avoid repeated freezing/thawing cycles. Reconstituted protein can be stored at 4 degree C for a limited period of time; it does not show any change after two weeks at 4 degree C.
Molecular Weight
21,731 Da
OMIM
604963
3D Structure
ModBase 3D Structure for O75594
Solubility
It is recommended to add 200 ul of 0.1M Acetate buffer pH-4 to prepare a working stock solution of approximately 0.5mg/ml and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely at 37 degree C. For conversion into higher pH value, we recommend intensive dilution by relevant buffer to a concentration of 10 ug/ml. In higher concentrations the solubility of this antigen is limited. PGLYRP1 is not sterile! Please filter the product by an appropriate sterile filter before using it in the cell culture.

Other Notes

Small volumes of PGLYRP1 recombinant protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

UniProt Comments for PGLYRP1

PGLYRP1: Pattern receptor that binds to murein peptidoglycans (PGN) of Gram-positive bacteria. Has bactericidal activity towards Gram-positive bacteria. May kill Gram-positive bacteria by interfering with peptidoglycan biosynthesis. Binds also to Gram- negative bacteria, and has bacteriostatic activity towards Gram- negative bacteria. Plays a role in innate immunity. Belongs to the N-acetylmuramoyl-L-alanine amidase 2 family.

Protein type: Secreted, signal peptide; Apoptosis; Secreted; Receptor, misc.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.2-q13.3

Cellular Component: extracellular region

Molecular Function: peptidoglycan receptor activity; peptidoglycan binding; zinc ion binding; N-acetylmuramoyl-L-alanine amidase activity

Biological Process: defense response to Gram-positive bacterium; negative regulation of natural killer cell differentiation during immune response; detection of bacterium; negative regulation of interferon-gamma production; negative regulation of inflammatory response; innate immune response; immune response; pattern recognition receptor signaling pathway; peptidoglycan catabolic process
