Form/Format
SCGB1A1 protein was lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered concentrated solution in PBS, pH 7.4.
Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity/Purification
Greater than 97.0% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized SCGB1A1 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18 degree C. Upon reconstitution SCGB1A1 should be stored at 4 degree C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18 degree C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Molecular Weight
10,449 Da
Active Protein Note
Protein activity can be an ambiguous term. Please refer to the data sheet or inquire with Technical Support to determine the definition of activity for this product.
Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized SCGB1A1 in sterile 18M?-cm H2O not less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity
Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50 as determined by the ability of the immobilized protein to support the adhesion of the A549 human lung carcinoma cells is less than 5.0 ?g/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of >200IU/mg.

Other Notes

Small volumes of rSCGB1A1 active protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
