Other Notes

Small volumes of TCF7 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS166776 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Transcription factor 7 (TCF7) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing TCF7. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS166776 kit is based on TCF7 antibody-TCF7 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect TCF7 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, TCF7. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for TCF7

This gene encodes a transcription factor which is a member of the T-cell specific transcription factor family. The encoded protein is distinct from the hepatic transcription factor, transcription factor 1, which is also referred to by the symbol Tcf1. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described, but the full-length nature of some of these variants has not been determined. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2015]

UniProt Comments for TCF7

Transcriptional activator involved in T-cell lymphocyte differentiation. Necessary for the survival of CD4+ CD8+ immature thymocytes. Isoforms lacking the N-terminal CTNNB1 binding domain cannot fulfill this role. Binds to the T-lymphocyte-specific enhancer element (5'-WWCAAAG-3') found in the promoter of the CD3E gene. May also act as feedback transcriptional repressor of CTNNB1 and TCF7L2 target genes. TLE1, TLE2, TLE3 and TLE4 repress transactivation mediated by TCF7 and CTNNB1 ().
