Rotavirus Antigen, Rv Ag (RV Ag) ELISA Kit for Human

Intended Uses: This kit is for the qualitative detection of human Rotavirus antigen (also known as RV Ag) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates.

Principle of the Assay: This kit is based on a qualitative reverse phase enzyme immuno assay technique. The microtiter plate has been pre-coated with a target antibody. Positive/Negative Controls or samples are added to the wells and incubate. Antigen in the samples bind to the antibody on the plate. Unbound antigen is washed away during a washing step. A Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated detection antibody is then added and incubate. Unbound HRP is washed away during a washing step. TMB substrate is then added and color develops. The reaction is stopped by addition of acidic stop solution and color changes into yellow that can be measured at 450 nm. The OD of an unknown sample can then be compared to the OD of the positive and negative controls in order to determine the presence of RV Ag.

Small volumes of RV Ag elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
