Rho-Associated Protein Kinase 2 (ROCK2) ELISA Kit for Human

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS167513

Principle of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Human ROCK2 antibody. ROCK2 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human ROCK2… More details

Other Notes

Small volumes of ROCK2 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS167513 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Rho-associated protein kinase 2 (ROCK2) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing ROCK2. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS167513 kit is based on ROCK2 antibody-ROCK2 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect ROCK2 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, ROCK2. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for ROCK2

a Rho kinase that is involved in inducing membrane blebbing and chromatin condensation [RGD, Feb 2006]

UniProt Comments for ROCK2

Protein kinase which is a key regulator of actin cytoskeleton and cell polarity. Involved in regulation of smooth muscle contraction, actin cytoskeleton organization, stress fiber and focal adhesion formation, neurite retraction, cell adhesion and motility via phosphorylation of ADD1, BRCA2, CNN1, EZR, DPYSL2, EP300, MSN, MYL9/MLC2, NPM1, RDX, PPP1R12A and VIM. Phosphorylates SORL1 and IRF4. Acts as a negative regulator of VEGF-induced angiogenic endothelial cell activation. Positively regulates the activation of p42/MAPK1-p44/MAPK3 and of p90RSK/RPS6KA1 during myogenic differentiation. Plays an important role in the timely initiation of centrosome duplication. Inhibits keratinocyte terminal differentiation. May regulate closure of the eyelids and ventral body wall through organization of actomyosin bundles. Plays a critical role in the regulation of spine and synaptic properties in the hippocampus. Plays a role in placental homeostasis during the perinatal period. Plays an important role in generating the circadian rhythm of the aortic myofilament Ca2+ sensitivity and vascular contractility by modulating the myosin light chain phosphorylation.
